swissnex Singapore proudly welcomes the SCIENCEsuisse exhibition, an initiative of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, the Swiss National Science Foundation, the State Secretariat for Education and Research and the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation SRG SSR idée Suisse.

The exhibition, a fascinating introduction to science, showcases the achievements by 15 outstanding researchers from Switzerland, in a wide variety of disciplines ranging from astrophysics, geology, medicine and robotics to art history and philosophy.

The SCIENCEsuisse exhibition will be presented at the main hall of Fusionopolis, Singapore’s heart and powerhouse in science and technology.

Research scientists, engineers and technology experts from the public labs of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) and those from the private sector will have the opportunity to discover the exhibition on a daily basis.

Opening Ceremony, 7 July 12.30pm, Main Hall, Fusionopolis
Prof. Rolf Pfeifer, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, University of Zurich, one of the researchers portrayed in the SCIENCEsuisse Exhibition, will present Cronos, the Humanoid Robot as well as stumpy, a dancing robot, illustrating how behavior results from a subtle interplay between brain, body and environment.

Prof. Pfeifer will also introduce the ShanghAI Lectures on embodied intelligence and Starmind, enabling to address the most challenging questions.

Closing Event, 4 August 12 pm, Theatre, Fusionopolis
Light and Energy, Dye Sensitized Solar Cells Mimic Natural Photosynthesis
Highlighting how dye-sensitised thin film solar cells (DSC) can produce electricity in low light and indoor conditions, the talk by Prof. Michaël Grätzel, EPFL, will close the SCIENCEsuisse exhibition.
